North Korea saying they are at War

It has been reported that North Korea have said they are now at war with South Korea amid their recent threats to the USA as well. It was only this week that the leader Pyongyang was also showing US targets that they were looking at for strikes which was largely seen as a ploy to get the US back in talks with the country.

They have also declared that any provocation in the North and South divide will lead to full scale Nuclear war.It should be noted however that North and South Korea have actually technical always been at war since 1953 when the Korean war ended with an armistice as opposed to a peace treaty.

They only this month threatened to rip up the Armistice and other peace acts signed by the two countries after they were incensed by South Korean and US joint military exercises. The US have said that they are as always taking North Korea’s threat seriously and are in a position to respond to any eventuality. The US have already said previously that they have Nuclear weapons available if Pyongyang was to live up to the threats he has made in the past regarding the arsenal of weapons that they will use.

Skilled Tradesmen Crisis

A recent report has shown that there has been a dramatic fall in the number of skilled tradesmen recently in the UK. It is reported that the figure has gone down 7% on last year and this has been put down to both the recessions and also the fact that house prices have taken a knock as a result.

It is said that out of all the trades that plumbers are the worst hit where there has been a 25% drop in the last 4 years alone. One thing that perhaps should be taken into account however is that due to the massive influx from skilled tradesmen from other countries such as Poland for example, perhaps this may have also dissuaded some residents to seek other industries to ply their trade.

This is compounded by the fact that a lot of overseas workers have also driven down the average daily wage for a lot of tradesmen who previously were enjoying better daily rates before the increased competition arrives from eastern europe.

There is however some evidence that female run trade businesses are on the increase in particular, female bricklayers are up 16%. Window cleaning businesses which are run by women are also up 5%.

Siberian Spring in UK

Some of the top weather analysts are predicting that the UK will in fact face up to another 4 days of Siberian weather with the odds at the bookies now dropping daily on the fact that the UK will be experiencing snow for Easter. They are predicting that the awful freeze that hit the Uk over the weekend  could fall as low as -7 degrees over the coming days.

They are saying that the light sleet and snow that hit yesterday will become much heavier today and could go to as much as 2 inches. The Met office did also actually issue a weather warning to parts of Devon today, where it is predicted to be as much as 4 inches by today which of course at this time of year does seem rather extreme.
